Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant had missed the previous nine games due to a right calf injury, but with the two-time defending NBA champions facing elimination, he returned to action for the first time in 32 days for Game 5 of the NBA Finals at Scotiabank Arena.
Durant had scored 11 points and was made all three of his 3-point attempts when he apparently re-injured his right calf in what the Warriors PR announced as a “right lower leg injury” and that he would not return to the game.
Golden State led 39-34 when Durant exited the game.
Durant is scheduled to have an MRI on Tuesday.
