DeMarcus Cousins Has Torn Quad, Out Indefinitely

An MRI on Tuesday morning confirmed that Golden State Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins has a has a torn left quadriceps.

The injury means that Cousins is out for an indefinitely and will begin his rehab immediately.

The non-contact injury occurred with 8:09 left in the first quarter.

Cousins returned to action in January after missing close to a full year with a torn left Achilles tendon suffered last season when he was a member of the New Orleans Pelicans. He had signed a fre agent deal with the Warriors in the off-season.

The Warriors would go on to squander a 31-point lead en route to losing at home to the 8th seeded Los Angeles Clippers.

The series is tied 1-1 and resumes Thursday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
