TAMPA, Fla. – The Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Downtown Convention Center unveils plans today for an extensive property revitalization totaling nearly $20 million, the renovation commenced this past August. The hotel will undergo a complete renovation to include all of its 360 guest suites, public space, meeting space, and the launch of a new, beverage-centric restaurant concept, TASTE.

The renovation, which will be led by Maryland-based interior and architectural design firm, Streetsense, is expected to be completed in December 2018. The vision of the renovation will result in a contemporary and vibrant space. The design pillars include locally inspired elements, modern details and natural balance.
All guest suites will be completely redesigned and feature a 55” or larger LED High Definition television, Keurig single-cup coffeemaker, and a modern & sleek work space complete with new lighting fixtures. Cozy lighting and contemporary, local artwork will complete the look. The renovated guest bathrooms feature sleek fixtures, granite countertops, and deluxe showerheads.
Public and meeting spaces will also undergo a comprehensive enhancement and upgrade. The lobby will be redesigned to radiate a communal atmosphere that will encourage a natural lobby buzz, coupled with modern touches. The meeting space upgrades will include new, advanced decorative lighting and technological systems along with new linens, stylish new chairs, and window treatments. The meeting space will be curated with local artwork all in harmony with the elevated ambiance.
The hotel restaurant will undergo a complete transformation, rebranding as TASTE, a beverage-centric dining concept with a focus on ingredient driven, elevated comfort food.
