PITTSBURGH — The Milk Shake Factory is opening a new storefront inside PPG Paints Arena, with doors officially opening to patrons on September 22, 2018.

The store will feature a menu of five handspun milkshakes including a new gourmet shake named for Pittsburgh Penguin Left Wing and Stanley Cup Champion, Jake Guentzel. The store opening coincides with The Milk Shake Factory’s new partnership with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The PPG Paints Arena store will transport guests to the crisp and highly instragrammable navy and white interior for which The Milk Shake Factory is known. TMSF stores will also incorporate elements of the Penguins partnership in the form of custom TMSF + Pens chocolates.

“Our family is proud to have the opportunity to support our hometown team as The Milk Shake Factory grows in the Pittsburgh region,” said CEO, Chris Edwards.

The Milk Shake Factory and Pittsburgh Penguins partnership is led by new TMSF spokesperson, #59 Left Wing Jake Guentzel. The Pittsburgh-based dessert innovator and Guentzel teamed up to create the specialty “Jake’s Shake”; a hat trick of chocolate with hot fudge, cookies & cream, and brownies with a black and gold drizzle of fudge and caramel, topped with whipped cream and a custom chocolate #59. When Jake Guentzel scores, fans will receive half-price Jake’s Shake the next day at The Milk Shake Factory locations.

“This will be a tremendous partnership for the Penguins because our fans and everyone here love The Milk Shake Factory brand,” said Terry Kalna, the Penguins’ Senior Vice President of Sales and Broadcasting. “It will bring a cool, fun element to Penguins games and other events at PPG Paints Arena. And we’re excited to have the connection between Jake Guentzel and The Milk Shake Factory, creating the unique ‘Jake’s Shake,’ and allowing our fans to share in his success.  It’s a win-win all around.”

The Milk Shake Factory and Pittsburgh Penguins Partnership also provides support for the Penguins’ Puck Pals program, special in-store player and mascot appearances, ticket giveaways, and contests in all TMSF locations across the city throughout the 2018/2019 Season.
