Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens received his Hall of Fame ring in a ceremony during halftime of the San Francisco 49ers-Oakland Raiders Thursday Night Football game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
Owens was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this past summer but opted to skip the ceremony and have his own ceremony on campus at his alma mater, the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga.
“Man, this is awesome,” Owens said on sfchronicle.com. “This is really an opportunity for me to give back to the fans. I know ever since I left in 2003, I went on and did some great things. But this is where it started.”
Owens began his career with the San Francisco 49ers. He also played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals.
