The Arizona Cardinals put up a good smoke screen leading up to the NFL Draft, but when NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell took the stage to announce the No. 1 overall pick, the selection was Heisman Trophy winner, Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Kyler Murray.
Oklahoma became the first school to have QBs selected in the first round in back-to-back NFL drafts with Murray and Cleveland Browns’ Baker Mayfield going first overall in consecutive seasons.

The Cardinals host the Browns on Dec. 15.
Murray became the first player to ever be a first-round pick in both the MLB and NFL drafts after being picked No. 9 overall in the 2018 Major League Baseball draft by the Oakland Athletics.
