Dallas Cowboys star running back Ezekiel Elliott was a no-show to the team’s training camp in Oxnard, CA.
“He’s late. We have officially reported, and so he’s a non-report,” Jones said Friday afternoon at the Cowboys “State of the Team” press conference.
Elliott is due to make a base salary of $3.85 million on his current contract in 2019 and $9.09 million in 2020, which is the final year of his present five-year, $24.95 million deal according to nfl.com.
Elliott is looking for a contract exceeding that of Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley, which included $45 million in guaranteed money and an average annual value of $14.375 million.
Now the waiting game begins for the Cowboys and Elliott.
