ESPN to Offer Unprecedented Coverage of NFL Pro Bowl across ESPN, ESPN Deportes, ABC and Disney XD

ESPN will offer unprecedented coverage of the 2019 Pro Bowl with four different networks – ESPN, ESPN Deportes, ABC and Disney XD (for the first time) – carrying the matchup of AFC vs. NFC stars on Sunday, Jan. 27, at 3 p.m. ET from Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla.

Quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes (AFC/Chiefs) and Russell Wilson (NFC/Seahawks), who led their respective teams to the NFL Playoffs, are among the marquee players in this year’s Pro Bowl. The telecast will feature in-game audio of the Pro Bowl quarterbacks and captains, all of whom will wear microphones. Other planned enhancements include C360 cams on the goal posts, Ref cams and Line-to-Gain cam.

ESPN’s Monday Night Football commentator team of Joe Tessitore, Jason Witten, Booger McFarland and Lisa Salters will call the action for ESPN, ABC and Disney XD, while Eduardo Varela, analyst Pablo Viruega and reporter John Sutcliffe will call the game in Spanish for ESPN Deportes. This will be ESPN’s 15th Pro Bowl telecast and the 24th for ABC. The Pro Bowl will also be available via the ESPN app.

Additionally, ESPN International and its affiliated networks will present the Pro Bowl live to more than 47 million households in 34 countries and territories throughout Spanish-speaking Latin America, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands, Canada, the Philippines and Sub Saharan Africa. Commentary and analysis will be presented in four languages — English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.

Prior to the game, Suzy Kolber will host a Pro Bowl edition of Postseason NFL Countdown (1 p.m. ET, ESPN and ABC) from Camping World Stadium with analysts Matt Hasselbeck, Randy Moss, Charles Woodson, and Louis Riddick. Countdown will also feature news and notes from NFL Insider Adam Schefter, a Pro Bowl edition of You Got Mossed, and the NFL FLAG National Championship for 13/14-year-old boys.

On ESPN Deportes, special editions of SportsCenter (1 p.m. ET) and NFL Esta Noche (2:30 p.m. ET) lead into game coverage at 3 p.m. ET.

Pro Bowl Skills Showdown – Thursday, 9 p.m. ET, ESPN and Disney XD:

ESPN will televise the NFL Pro Bowl Skills Showdown for the third consecutive year on Thursday, Jan. 24, at 9 p.m. ET. The event, which takes place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (ESPN WWOS), will also be televised on Disney XD. ESPN’s MNF team will serve as commentators for the 40 Yard Splash, Gridiron Gauntlet, Best Hands, Precision Passing and Epic Pro Bowl Dodgeball competitions.

• During the week, popular stars from Disney Channel will share their own Pro Bowl experience with fans on social media and will make personal appearances including during the ESPN telecast and celebrity flag football game. They are: Joshua Rush (“Andi Mack”), Ethan Wacker (“Bizaardvark”), Ruby Rose Turner and Dakota Lotus (“Coop and Cami Ask the World”), Sadie Stanley (“Kim Possible”), and Brandon Rosell and Sophie Pollono (“Fast Layne”).
• ESPN3 will live stream the NFL FLAG National Championship games for the 9-10 coed, 11-12 coed and 13-14 girls divisions on Saturday, Jan. 26, beginning at 10 a.m. ET.
