32 U.S. Open Champions Gather for USGA ‘Reunion of Champions’

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – The USGA hosted 32 of the 36 living U.S. Open champions Tuesday night for a “Reunion of Champions” at Pebble Beach Golf Links as part of its week-long celebration of golf. 

Those in attendance included (in alphabetical order, with years won in parentheses):

Raymond Floyd (1986), Larry Nelson (1983) and Fuzzy Zoeller (1984) were unable to participate due to prior commitments. Corey Pavin (1995) was scheduled to attend but had to cancel due to illness. 

The USGA last held a similar gathering in 2013 before the U.S. Open at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pennsylvania.
