CHICAGO — Skydeck Chicago, the city’s awe-inspiring and iconic landmark atop Willis Tower, announces its fourth annual “Love on the Ledge” social media contest.
This year, Skydeck will give adventurous couples the chance to win a private, romantic ceremony and celebrate their love by either tying the knot or renewing their vows, 1,353 feet in the sky.
Couples can enter to win by submitting a video or photo entry on Skydeck’s Facebook page sharing their love story. Up to four lucky couples will be selected to experience a romantic wedding ceremony or vow renewal atop the highest observation deck in America on Sunday, February 10, 2019. The ceremonies will take place on The Ledge at Skydeck, glass boxes extending 4.3 feet from the skyscraper, promising never-before-seen views of the city.
“Skydeck provides the perfect backdrop to create romantic moments for our guests, with the most stunning views and memorable experiences,” says Skydeck General Manager Randy Stancik. “We’re thrilled to give a once in a lifetime opportunity to four couples to celebrate their love with an unforgettable ceremony overlooking Chicago.”
To enter, contestants are invited to submit a photo with detailed caption or video of two minutes or less explaining why they should win Chicago’s most romantic wedding ceremony or vow renewal. Entries are welcome from January 9 – 30. The winning couples will be selected and notified by February 1. One entry is permitted per couple.
Accompanied by up to eight guests, each couple will enjoy a private 15-minute wedding or vow renewal ceremony with the Chicago skyline as the backdrop. Additionally, couples will receive a stay at a downtown Chicago hotel for a romantic getaway, professional photos taken during the ceremony from atop the tallest building in Chicago and prizes from local Chicago partners.
