NEW YORK Peloton, the global technology company that revolutionized the at-home fitness industry, today announced that Karen Boone, most recently President, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer of Restoration Hardware (RH), has been elected to the company’s Board of Directors, effective immediately.

She will serve as Peloton’s Audit Committee Chair.

In her role at RH, Boone led all financial and administrative functions for the company, including strategic and financial planning, accounting, treasury, tax, internal audit, loss prevention, human resources, investor relations, legal, product safety and compliance and facilities. Boone joined RH as Chief Financial Officer in June 2012 and in May 2014 was promoted to Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. In May 2016, she was promoted to the role of President.

During her tenure at RH, Boone led several key financial milestones and transactions, including the Initial Public Offering in November 2012, two public Follow On Offerings in 2013, the issuance of three public Convertible Note Offerings ($350M, $300M and $335M) in 2014, 2015 and 2018, the acquisition of Waterworks in 2016 and the completion of two share repurchase programs ($300M and $700M) in 2017.

“Karen is a welcome addition to our board and brings a wealth of relevant industry experience to Peloton,” said Peloton CEO and Co-founder John Foley. “In addition to her vast knowledge and insight across a number of key business areas, Karen is incredibly smart, passionate, humble, hard-working and intellectually curious–exactly the type of person who reflects our company culture.”

Boone will work closely with Peloton’s executive team, including Foley, Peloton President William Lynch, CFO Jill Woodworth and others, as well as the company’s existing Board of Directors.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Peloton’s Board and to be part of this innovative, fast-growing brand that is reinventing how fitness plays a part in people’s lives globally,” said Boone. “I look forward to working with John, William, Jill and my fellow board members to help take the company to its next phase of growth.”

Prior to RH, Boone worked for Deloitte & Touche LLP, an accounting and consulting firm, from 1997 to 2012, where she most recently served as an audit partner. During her 15 years at Deloitte, Boone specialized in service to retail and consumer products companies, including The Gap Inc., Williams-Sonoma, Inc., One Kings Lane, The Gymboree Corporation, CamelBak, The North Face and Ross Stores, among others. In addition to her role on Peloton’s Board of Directors, she currently serves on the Board and as the Audit Committee Chair of Sonos, Inc.
