Wearing is Caring with Live Love Gameday

In 2015, I launched a “sports-themed” apparel line many know as LLG, or Live Love Gameday®. From football season to basketball, baseball, hockey and everything in between, LLG releases new arrivals weekly for sports’ fans across the globe!

In 2020, things changed. Basketball season was canceled. Hockey games ended. Baseball never began.

 

One day, I was sitting outside thinking of what I could do to keep my small business alive. I have employees that also have families they need to provide for. I needed a GREAT idea fast!

 

LLG would survive 2020.

 

Okay, I came up with two ideas. Face masks + witty quarantine tees. Now, you may think….well who needs to shop during a pandemic. However, what I do goes far beyond just “shopping” for clothing. I began designing tees and comfy lounge pieces that would make my customers smile during a time where smiles were hard to come by.

 

A few of my top-sellers have since been: “I Miss Sports,” “Wake Me Up When Baseball Is Back,” “I Vow To Always Love You, Even During Quarantine,” and more. I would go live each week, sometimes daily, to interact with our customers, talk about their new tees arriving, updating them on shipping times and brighten everyone’s day.

 

Now, at this time, masks were not yet required, so this idea that popped into my head…well, I was honestly unsure if it was even worth putting into action. Witty tees were done. It was time to launch daily face covers. All of our face covers are made here in the USA. Some people believe masks are useless. Some believe masks are 100% necessary. Some prefer surgical masks. Others prefer something stylish that matches their outfit and still holds a filter.

 

Everyone is different, and everyone has different opinions. Which is okay!

 

I personally believe that “wearing is caring” and while it may not protect me completely from COVID, it will help in protecting those around me from my germs. Until we know more about the virus, I feel better knowing that I am helping even when wearing a mask is not the most comfortable thing on the planet!

 

LLG daily fashion face covers are not medical, but many of them do have a slot for a filter. They are 2-4 layers and specify on our website if they have a filter slot for added protection. We also offer the filters and simple, white KN95 masks, which of course are great, but so many of our customers love something a little bit more stylish.

 

We even have customers who will wear the KN95 and then throw a fun sequin LLG daily face cover over the top of it!

 

We have a few sweet nurses who are always wearing medical masks at work, so having one of our comfy and cute daily face covers for grocery store trips or shopping or whatever it may be sort of changes things up for them, and definitely makes them happy!

 

When you see masks, it does sort of bring your spirits down a little bit, am I right? It’s natural to feel that way. It reminds you that life isn’t how it always was. Sometimes you wish things were “back to normal.”

 

I get it!

 

As the owner of LLG, I know it’s not much, but I love that I was able to offer fun & witty quarantine/sports tees to make our customers smile as well as beautiful sequin, lace, floral, tie-dye, camo and more daily face covers to help the whole “masks required” situation just a little bit bearable.

 

Oh, and one more thing! The third idea came in hot.

 

There are these “keys” out there that fit perfectly on a keychain and are great for opening doors, typing on a keypad, flushing a toilet, punching buttons on an elevator…all hands-free. Which means GERM-FREE! I designed a few with baseballs, footballs, softballs and basketballs on them which are great for sports fans of any age, guys, gals, you name it. It’s a fun little accessory that really comes in handy!
