The Dallas Stars defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 4-1 on Military Appreciation Night at American Airlines Center.
Jamie Benn had a hat trick to lead the Stars. It was the team captain’s sixth career hat trick.
Dallas is 4-1-1 in their last six games.
The Stars have 69 points and sit on third place in the Central Division behind St. Louis (73) and Colorado (72).
Dallas travels to Canada for a game against the Toronto Maple Leafs wile Carolina heads home for a contest on Friday against the New Jersey Devils.
