Highlights from Week 5:
The New Orleans Saints dominated the Washington Redskins 43-19 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Monday Night Football. Drew Brees became the NFL’s all-time passing leader, passing Peyton Manning’s previous mark of 71,940 yards on a 62-yard touchdown pass to rookie Tre’Quan Smith.
The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 30-14 at Arrowhead Stadium. Patrick Mahomes threw for 313 yards and had a rushing touchdown. Next up for the Chiefs is a Sunday Night Football match-up at the New England Patriots. Jacksonville has another road contest as they travel to take on the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium.
The Carolina Panthers defeated the New York Giants 33-31 when kicker Graham Gano’s 63 yard field goal went through the uprights with one second remaining in the game.
