Dallas Cowboys To Unveil Special Cowboys-Themed Frisco Fire Truck During Christmas at The Star

Frisco, Texas – The Dallas Cowboys will close out the third annual Christmas at The Star presented by Albertsons and Tom Thumb with two final performances this weekend on Dec. 20 and Dec. 21.

Along with the 20-minute show featuring Cowboys game day entertainment and Christmas cheer, the Dallas Cowboys will add another element to Christmas at The Star as they welcome the newest addition to the Frisco community with the Frisco Fire Department’s introduction of Truck 3, the first Pierce Ascendant 100’ Aerial Mid-Mount Ladder Truck in Texas, during Saturday’s performance.

 

Truck 3 is completely customized and decked out in Dallas Cowboys colors and logos (picture attached) and will be assigned to Frisco Fire Station 3, located just down the street from The Star in Frisco at 5449 Warren Pkwy.

The truck is complete with a 2,000 gallons-per-minute (GPM) water pump, 2,000 GPM waterway, and carries both water and firefighting foam on-board. 

The aerial ladder can operate at -6o for rescue incidents and carries specialized tools and equipment designed for use during high angle rescue emergencies, vehicle extrications, and other rescue incidents.  It will be outfitted with the latest technologies in paramedicine and advanced life support, capable of delivering the highest level of pre-hospital care available. 

The truck will be responsible for responding to structure fires, rescue incidents and other emergencies along the Dallas North Tollway and Sam Rayburn Tollway corridor, as well as commercial developments such as Hall Park, Frisco Station, Stonebriar Mall and The Star. 

Wrapping up its final weekend of the holiday season, Christmas at The Star presented by Albertsons and Tom Thumb gives fans an opportunity to enjoy free, family-friendly events, including  a 20-minute show that electrifies

The Star with a powerful mix of game day excitement and Christmas cheer. Christmas at The Star begins with the lighting of The Star’s 67-foot Christmas tree, lit with digital LED lights, located on Tostitos Championship Plaza, and leads into a holiday performance showcasing the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Dallas Cowboys Rhythm and Blue Dancers, Rookie Squad and Drumline, mascot Rowdy, Santa Claus and special Dallas Cowboys guest appearances that will include the last two this weekend alongside Frisco Fire Truck 3:

Saturday, December 21 – Bradie James and Frisco Fire Truck 3

Christmas at The Star presented by Albertsons and Tom Thumb kicked off the week before Thanksgiving and took place every Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m. starting Nov. 22 on Tostitos Championship Plaza. Admission and parking for the event are free.
