The Texas Tech Red Raiders defeated the TCU Horned Frogs 17-14 on Thursday night in a nationally televised ESPN game.
Jett Duffey threw a 62-yard touchdown pass and scored a touchdown on a 38-yard draw that ended up being the game winner for Texas Tech.
“I was really proud of Jett. That’s such a hard situation, first start ever and at halftime we’re going to try something else,” Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury said on espn.com. “Then have to put him back in, and find a way, dig deep, be mentally tough enough to handle that, make enough plays to win the game. I can’t say enough about his mental toughness.”
Next up for Texas Tech is a home game against Kansas.
TCU hosts Oklahoma next week.
