Texas defeated Texas A&M 60-50 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.
Billed as the “Lone Star Showdown,” the game was the first meeting of the two in-state rivals since 2015.
This was the second basketball at Dickies Arena, following Friday night’s USC 80-78 win over TCU.
Attendance at the shiny new arena in Fort Worth was 9,136.
Next up for Texas is a home game against Central Michigan while the Aggies also return home to play Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
