Dallas Mavericks fans were still riding high from the team’s championship run that culminated with the NBA Finals victory over the Miami Heat when the Dallas Mavericks Dancers were already hard at work on the upcoming season. Over 200 girls showed up at the Hilton Anatole for the annual Mavs Dancers auditions. Following training camp that was held at Elevation Fitness, the 2011-12 roster was announced.
The annual swimsuit calendar shoot was next on the agenda with this year’s edition to be set on the beaches on the coral island of Barbados. In addition to shooting the calendar, the Dallas Mavericks Dancers also took part in community service projects including a trip to visit kids at the Nightingale Orphanage. The 12-month calendar features all 20 of the Mavs Dancers in locales including Accra Beach Hotel and Spa, Bathsheba, Bottom Bay, Cherry Tree Hill and Parliament.
