SAN ANTONIO Rest-Rite Sleep Positioner, a new startup based in Texas, will be given to Academy Award® nominees in the coveted Distinctive Assets Gift Bag on the heals of being placed in the official GRAMMY Awards® Gift Bag.

San Antonio attorney, Jennifer Sparr, has always been interested in taking an idea from concept to market since studying advertising and marketing at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. With the invention of the patented Rest-Rite Sleep Positioner (RestRite.com) she has brought a solution to an every day problem to life.

Over the years every member of Sparr’s family went through situations which required specific sleep positions, such as pregnancy, injury, illness, or just better breathing. She often rolled her sleeping husband back to his side so he could breathe better and quieter. “I knew there had to be a way to help people sleep in a position that they needed,” said Sparr. Research on the internet only offered clumsy and unrealistic options for the practical use her family needed.

Sparr said, “I knew the solution needed to be quick, simple, and convenient.” That’s when she came up with the idea of Rest-Rite Sleep Positioner, a drug-free, disposable device that attaches directly to the body or clothing with medical grade adhesive. By keeping a stack on a nightstand, a person can pull off the lining to the medical grade adhesive and press one directly to the body or clothing solving the sleep positioning issue in seconds. When a person rolls into the direction of the positioner, the body is given a gentle nudge to reposition to the side.

Back sleeping restricts the airways, while the side sleep position opens the airways making the process of breathing easier and quieter, giving relief to people with allergies, nasal congestion, and deviated septums. Side sleeping is also recommended for pregnant women.

After using them to help a family member’s healing from surgery, Sparr enlisted Nancy Segrato, Fitness and Orthopedic Consultant and advisor to Rest-Rite Sleep Positioner on healing. “Almost every kind of athletic or orthopedic injury or surgery requires specific sleep positions for success in healing,” says Segrato. For a customized sleep position, one or two positioners can be strategically placed as reminders to stay in a particular position.
