DJ Poizon Ivy, the Mavericks’ in-arena DJ, who will make her All-Star debut on Sunday night at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.
DJ Poizon Ivy will start her weekend on Thursday evening in Los Angeles at the 2018 Global Spin Awards, the premier DJ Awards and Ceremony that were created to honor the world’s most dynamic and talented DJs for their contribution to the culture of music and entertainment.
The Mavs’ DJ Poizon Ivy has been nominated for Female DJ of the year. Sunday night, she will be the first female to DJ the All-Star Game, and fans in Dallas can watch her live on TNT beginning at 7:00pm.
DJ Poizon Ivy was hired to be in the in-arena DJ in October of 2016 and is the first female DJ for the Mavericks, and just the 2nd female DJ in the NBA.
She first worked for the Mavericks as a BallKid in the early 2000s before heading to Marquette University where she worked at the local radio station. Since then, she has shared the stage with the likes of Nas, Wiz Khalifa, Lupe Fiasco and others, and performs in front of 20,000 fans at American Airlines Center for more than 41 homes games every season.
