Today is all about taking care of your skin. This is a subject that I often get questions about, so I wanted to share a little bit about my skin-care routine. First of all, I am a bit of a product junky when it comes to trying out new scrubs and lotions, I have many favorites. However, I have used the same face wash and moisturizer since high school, so why change? I wash my face each night with Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash. It is clean, pure and soap-free, and it removes dirt, oil and makeup without stripping or drying your skin like soap can. I have tried out many different face washes over the years (just to see if I should switch or not), and I always go back to my tried and true. Anytime a friend is having an issue with his or her skin, I turn them over to Purpose, and they instantly fall in love. It is not expensive, and you may think it is a little boring, but trust me, sometimes a simple face wash and moisturizer is exactly what your skin needs. After I cleanse my skin, I apply Purpose Dual Treatment Moisture Lotion. While this lotion is especially good to use in the morning, since it has SPF 15, I also use it at night. You can grab this combo at a Target near you or order online. If I am feeling extra creative, I use Kiehl’s Rosa Arctica and Kiehl’s Creamy Avocado Eye Treatment. Kiehl’s has many great products. While I have only tried the above two on my sensitive skin, my mom uses a combination of their Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Cream, Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate, Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Eye Cream, Midnight Recovery Concentrate, and Daily Reviving Concentrate. She is my best friend, so I see her every day, and I can honestly say that I have seen a dramatic improvement since she started using these products! My fiancé uses Kiehl’s Facial Fuel Anti-Wrinkle Cream and he loves to steal my avocado eye cream. It is seriously the best for fine lines and puffiness!

One other thing that has truly helped my skin over the years, is the addition of probiotics into my diet. Like I said before, about the Sports Research biotin and coconut oil, consult with your doctor before trying anything new. I have taken the Vitamin Shoppe’s Ultimate 10 Probiotic for years. Probiotics are beneficial “good bacteria” that inhabit the large and small intestines, so a healthy balance can help inhibit the overgrowth of harmful bacteria in your body. Not only do I feel better overall, but I have noticed that probiotics have helped the clarity of my skin as well.

Now onto my current obsession, Kona Body All-Natural Face & Body Scrub. I discovered this company a few months ago, and after reading that it is safe, all-natural, made in the USA, and contains two of my favorite things, coconut + coffee, I decided to give it a try. IT SMELLS DELICIOUS! This scrub was specifically designed to detoxify and bring balance to your beauty routine by eliminating harmful chemicals found in many every day body products. Instead, Kona uses coconut oil and sweet almond oil to hydrate and soften skin as well as caffeine and sugar to help alleviate the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks. Try it out here, 1.7 oz. for just $6.99! You can read more about the benefits of Kona Body on their website!

I hope this helps and answers some of your questions! If you have any questions for me, feel free to ask below in the comments, and although I am not an expert, I would love to share my experiences with you as well as products/methods I have tried!

Love y’all!
