DALLAS, TX  – For over 75 years, first on the pages of comics and now in the DC films, Wonder Woman has been a symbol of enduring strength. Wielding the Lasso of Hestia and clad in her gauntlets and her signature regal golden tiara, Diana, princess of Themyscira, fights for those who cannot fight for themselves.

Now Studio Movie Grill (SMG) and Warner Bros. Pictures want you to identify “Real Life Women Superheroes” in your community. The woman with the most compelling story from each SMG market will earn a trip to Dallas for a special advance red carpet screening of the much-anticipated action adventure ‘Wonder Woman.’ The film, starring Gal Gadot in the titular role and directed by Patty Jenkins, opens nationwide June 2.

“There is only one Wonder Woman – but there are millions of ‘Real Life Women Superheroes,’” said Brian Schultz, Founder and CEO of SMG. “They fight the battles we sometimes choose not to. They enrich communities, and bring comfort to those in-need and love to those with whom they come in contact. In aspirational times, they are inspirational. It’s time their stories are told and time we recognize those women in our community who, like Wonder Woman, fight for those who can’t fight for themselves.”

Beginning April 14, go to studiomoviegrill.com/womensuperheroes and nominate women in your communities who are doing the day-in, day-out work of making our world a better place. Nominees could range from a special needs school teacher, to a social worker at an elder care facility, to a community advocate fighting social injustice. They need only be unsung heroes whose stories deserve celebration and whose missions adhere to the noble ideals of the Wonder Woman comics: “Govern yourselves with love, kindness, and service to others.”

The nominating process aptly runs through Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 14).

A review committee will select the “Real Life Women Superheroes” – one from each of SMG’s 11 markets – to travel to Dallas. Each of these amazing women and a guest will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the home of SMG’s corporate headquarters for the special screening. Prior to the film, each will be honored with SMG’s “Opening Hearts and Minds, One Story At A Time” Award and a $1,000 donation to their charity of choice. The award highlights SMG’s commitment to extending its influence past the walls of its theaters with an authentic and clear vision to make the world a better place by opening hearts and minds, one story at a time.

The 11 participating SMG markets are: Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, Rocklin, CA., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Simi Valley, CA and Tampa.
