NFL Extra Points Credit Card Teams Up With Four-Time Super Bowl Champion Adam Vinatieri To Set A New GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ Title At NFL Experience

HOUSTON — Indianapolis Colts kicker and four-time Super Bowl champion Adam Vinatieri is headed to Houston to set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title at the NFL Extra Points Charity Kick taking place on Friday, Feb. 3, at 4 p.m. at NFL Experience. This is the sixth-annual NFL Extra Points Charity Kick, hosted by NFL Extra Points Credit Card issued by Barclaycard.

To set the new record, Vinatieri will need to kick at least 20 NFL footballs from 20 yards through a regulation NFL goalpost in 60 seconds. If successful, Barclaycard will award 1.5 million NFL Extra Points (equivalent to $15,000) to the Pat Tillman Foundation.

The Pat Tillman Foundation is the namesake of the former NFL player who put his NFL career on hold to serve in the military following 9/11. Following Tillman’s death in April 2004 while serving with the 75th Ranger Regiment in Afghanistan, his friends and family created the Foundation to honor his legacy of leadership and service. The Foundation invests in military veterans and their spouses through academic scholarships, building a diverse community of leaders committed to serving others.

“It’s a privilege to continue our outstanding partnership with both the Pat Tillman Foundation and one of the NFL’s greatest kickers of all time, Adam Vinatieri,” said Michael Bolmer, vice president marketing partnerships, Barclaycard. “Tillman Scholars are an amazing group who embody what it means to be real heroes, and we can’t thank them enough for all they do for our country. We’re excited to see Adam attempt to set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title at our NFL Extra Points Charity Kick while supporting a worthy cause.”

“Teaming up with the NFL Extra Points Credit Card and Indianapolis Colts placekicker Adam Vinatieri for the annual Charity Kick is an honor, as it supports veterans and their spouses at a critical time during their transition out of the military,” said Marie Tillman, president and co-founder, Pat Tillman Foundation. “Every point donated by the NFL Extra Points Credit Card and Barclaycard will empower Tillman Scholars as leaders to serve our country and communities in new ways out of uniform.”
