Hey #WorkoutWednesday peeps! For today’s post, we asked Allen American Ice Angel, Taryn, how she fit workouts into her busy schedule. Here’s what she has to say:

I love high endurance group workout classes! I try to go at least three times per week, which really complements the workouts I get at practices, games and dance classes.

Not only do group classes help with endurance, strength and toning, but they also provide motivation, accountability and camaraderie. When you’re tired from your busy schedule and are tempted to do a light workout or completely skip it altogether, those classes really come in handy. You don’t want to be the person who doesn’t show up…and when you do show up, being around other people motivates you to find that extra gear to push yourself to your limits!

Taryn is definitely onto something, here! There’s a phenomenon called the Köhler Effect, which occurs when a person works harder as a member of a group than when working alone. Want to up your workout game? Find a group class to get involved in!
