Bruno Magli Relaunching Women’s Footwear Collection

NEW YORK — Luxury Italian designer Bruno Magli is relaunching its beloved Women’s line after a three-year hiatus in the United States for the Autumn/Winter 2016 season and has named actress, director, artist and humanitarian Lucy Liu as the brand’s ambassador.

Keeping in line with the heritage of Bruno Magli, the debut Collection will feature signature hardware and ornamentation, as well as exquisite detailing in leather, patent leather and calf suede. The shoes, which will be produced in Bruno Magli’s heritage colors such as nudes and blacks, as well as brights for fall will have a very distinctive look with inspiration taken from the brand’s archives.

Bruno Magli is designing for a strong, powerful and confident woman in the rejuvenation of the line. The Collection will include both heels and flats, with a basic pump starting at $450 and a high boot retailing for approximately $1,100.

“The Bruno Magli Women’s Collection has historically been sold at better department stores including Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue and with this relaunch we will respond to the loyal customer demands for its return,” said Michael DeVirgilio, President of Marquee Brands, the parent company to Bruno Magli.

Lucy Liu, a fashion icon in her own right and longtime friend of the brand, is partnering with Bruno Magli as it returns to its roots.  As part of the relaunch, Liu and Bruno Magli will collaborate to release a style in her namesake. As a UNICEF Ambassador since 2004, involving herself in its campaigns and initiatives, Liu has been influential in supporting the organization’s mission of saving and improving children’s lives worldwide. As part of her partnership, Liu will be donating a portion of her proceeds to benefit UNICEF.
